The Bollywood has already started the year of 2016 with bang and Airlift happens to be its first flick to enter Rs 100 crore club.

The film started its first day in theaters with collection of approx Rs 12 crore. “Airlift” which revolves around the evacuation of Indians from Kuwait during the 1990 Iraq-Kuwait war earned applaud and appreciation from everyone for its patriotic theme.

It is touted to be Akshay Kumar’s highest earner and one of the best movie. It managed to collect Rs 44 crore (approx) in just three days at box office or in its first weekend.

The film entered into Rs. 100 crore club in just 10 days. The highest share came from its 4th Day shows on Republic Day (i.e 26 January) with Rs 17.80 crore. It also happens to be actor’s fifth consecutive hit.

According to online reports, it is made with a mere budget of around Rs 40 crore and has already went past its budget. Now it is booking profits for producers.
