The solid performance by its star cast and strong word of mouth publicity will help flick to easily cross Rs 10 crore mark and may become Akshay’s all time highest grosser movie. Expect some surprises over box-office this week.

The film made with a mere budget of Rs 36 crore will cover up 35-40% of its expense from its first day collection only though film’s rights have already been sold for a whooping amount. Directed by Raja Menon, Airlift is about the biggest evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait.

A tweet released official through @AirliftFilm handle reveals that Airlift’s opening day collection in UAE and GCC countries is Akshay Kumar’s highest till now. It got approximately 68 screens in UAE, Bahrain, Muscat, Oman and Qatar.

Though Airlift is facing tough competition from this week’s other release “Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3” which is comedy flick but both the releases have its own sets of audience.
