The year 2016 started on high note for Bollywood with real life inspired films making big bucks on big screen. The latest to join the list is Manoj Bajpai starrer and Hansal Mehta directorial “Aligarh”.
The movie which is based on section 377 (law that bans Gay love or homosexuality and is punishable) will present its view on the choice of sexual orientation. Its a real life inspired movie.
This film is one of its own kind that touches the subject of homosexuality in India. For the very first time Indian audiences will experience a sensitive and unique concept based film on big screens from 26th Feb.
Recently a special screening of the film was held at Mumbai and to our no surprise it received great reviews, response from Bollywood celebrities including one of Bollywood’s leading director Karan Johar.
Others that attented event includes Esha Gupta, Amit Sadh, Naseeruddin Shah, Manoj Bajpai, Rajkumar Rao, Ratna Pathak and Sudhir Mishra among others.

Aligarh is heartbreaking and powerful story of Professor Siras, a prolific teacher who faced abject humiliation and persecution at the hands of university authorities and other citizens for being gay.
The viewers will find versatile actor “Manoj Bajpai” and budding actor “Rajkumaar Rao” in the lead role. The film produced by Eros International & Karma Pictures hits the silver screen on February 26, 2016.
