Dilwale managed to grab an average of 70% occupancy rate on its opening day in Indian theatres. With positive reviews from critics, huge response from viewers and protest from political group it somehow manage to mint approx Rs 63 crore of business in its first weekend from Indian screens alone.
After a long time, SRK and Kajol gave appearance together on big screen and the move is welcomed by viewers with huge response to the film. Their sizzling on-screen chemistry not only grabbed eyeballs but gathered positive reviews from critics too.
The jodi got very impressive response and numbers from Overseas market too. On Friday alone it managed $ 3.4 million [₹ 22.61 cr] as confirmed by trade analyst ‘Taran Adarsh’.
The film’s 1st day collection met our early estimates and minted Rs 21cr. Though protest by some group (people) caused multiplexes to its screening shows but then also collecting such a good number and that too on a non-holiday day is just fabulous.
But its business fell a little bit on the 2nd day instead of growing on its first weekend day i.e Saturday. Saturday’s business fails to meet our expectations and collected Rs 20.09cr. As Saturday witnessed a downfall in business so do on Sunday.
Though the numbers are good but for a multi starrer film like Dilwale its average and that too from Indian screens. The film should get a big boost in coming days to enter into Rs 200cr club soon from its domestic collection only.
