The latest Bollywood film “Neerja” starring Sonam Kapoor has completed its 2nd weekend over the box-office with surprising numbers. It is turning out to be Sonam’s career best performance and movie.
From its opening day only the biopic attracted many eyeballs on Worldwide screens. It received positive reviews and response from critics and viewers. With overwhelming response at the box-office it emerged out as a leader.

Day 5 or Tuesday – Rs 3.41 cr
Day 6 or Wednesday – Rs 3.14 cr
Day 7 or Thursday – Rs 3.06 cr

The film managed to collect approx Rs 35 crore in its 1st week only and continued its success journey on week 2 also. By the end of 2nd weekend, Neerja’s earning numbers crossed Rs 50 crore mark. The numbers are as under:

Day 9 or 2nd Saturday – Rs 5 cr

As per Trade Analysts, the movie is going exceptional in overseas market too. The excellent numbers from USA-Canada, Middle East and Australia have helped the flick to collect $ 3.01 million (Rs 20.61 cr) from overseas screens till 2nd Sunday.
Neerja is tax free in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi city and it proved as a huge boost to the film. The Trade Analyst ‘Taran Adarsh’ is expecting it to reach/cross Rs 60 crore by 14th business day.
Neerja is an extra ordinary heart-felt biopic with great direction by Ram Madhvani and amazing performances. It narrates the tale of the unsung hero ‘Neerja Bhanot’. The movie featuring Sonam Kapoor and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles.
