If you are thinking that the film is about any queen by the name Padmini as the title suggests then if you wrong here. The story is about two modern woman Rani & Padmini played by Rima and Manju resp. Its plot deals with a sensitive issue of safety faced by women during road trips. It is believed that a woman travelling alone is not considered safe in India. Lets see what the director holds for its audience.

Rani is more like a boy and has been brought in Delhi while Padmini is a physiotherapist. Padmini got married to Giri (played by Jinu Joseph) who is a car rally enthusiast. Due to negative circumstances Giri wants divorce and signs the divorce petition before leaving to participate in Himalayan car rally.

Padmini too follows the same path as of her husband and meets Rani in between her trip. Their story of adventure and thrill begins from here. How these two ladies take up their adventurous journey to Himalaya forms the crux of the story.

Rani Padmini Review:

The critics and audiences are liking the performance by Rima Kallingal and Manju Warrier in the lead role. Their power-packed performance are shinning in a “no male lead” film. In the industry where a male lead is considered so important these two lead actress proved their worth.

Rani Padmini is a must watch movie atleast for all those females who find themselves less to their male counterpart, to all the travel enthusiast and for the followers of Himalayan rally. The film also offers a visual treat to the audience covering whole of Manali in the journey. Overall movie is a light hearted story with some flaws and good performances.
