The latest Bollywood film ‘Dilwale’ is going very well at the overseas box office too along with overwhelming response at domestic market. Not many Bollywood movies manage to attract viewers at Overseas screens.
The Trade Analysts ‘Taran Adarsh’ just now revealed its actual box-office figures at his official Twitter page. The numbers from Indian screens are as below:
Week 1 Collection: Rs 102.65 cr
Week 2 Collection: Rs 31.22 cr
Week 3 Weekend Collection: Fri 3.41 cr, Sat 1.90 cr, Sun 2.40 cr
Grand total: ₹ 141.58 cr
Isn’t it such a amazing number? Hold on there is more to it. The earning report is from Indian screens only. Its Overseas total is $ 22.5 million [₹ 149.80 cr]. That means it minted a total of Rs 291.38 crore. The numbers are definitely boosting for the whole film industry.
After Dhoom 3, PK and Bajrangi Bhaijann, Dilwale is the Bollywood film to collect such a huge number at the Overseas theatres. Along with ‘Dilwale’ Ranveer Singh’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ have also finished third Sunday at the box office.
Though ‘Bajirao Mastani’ started at slow pace but managed to leave behind ‘Dilwale’ after its second weekend in Indian screens. But the fan base of Shah Rukh Khan Worldwide helped Dilwale to gain strong foothold in Overseas theatres.
