Tamasha Movie 1st Weekend Box-office Collection Update

Check out how much the recently released Bollywood film ‘Tamasha’ has collected over the box-office in the Weekend. Directed by Imtiaz Ali the film is winning hearts all over the theatres. Read on to know the exact figures of its Weekend box-office collection as revealed by Trade Analysts.


Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer has once again proved their power over the box-office as their latest release ‘Tamasha’ has opened to amazing numbers. Like their earlier releases “Bachna Ae Haseeno” (2008) and “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani” (2013), the audiences are giving thumbs up to this release also.

The film bagged 2100 screens in India and 571 screens Overseas as revealed by Trade Analyst ‘Taran Adarsh’ on his official Twitter handle.

Tamasha 1st Weekend Box-office Collection

He also tweeted its exact numbers of Day 1 and Day 2. As revealed by him the movie minted Rs 10.87cr on the very first day of its release i.e Friday. And witnesses a growth of 21% in Saturday’s shows.

On its 2nd day of the business, it collected Rs 13.17cr that totals upto Rs 24.04cr in just two days of its journey over the box-office. We are expecting it to collect approx Rs 40cr in its Weekend collection.

The film is attracting viewers from mainly urban areas of India and mutiplexes record an increase of 20% business in the weekends i.e on Saturday and Sunday. Tamasha is not entertaining viewers in India only but its Overseas collection shows a positive trend in Worldwide screens too.

Tamasha Overseas Box-office Collection Report:

It is going strong in Overseas screens too with a collection of $1.64 million on Day 1/Friday. The earnings from key markets includes USA-Canada $ 1.13 mn, UAE-GCC $ 731k, Pakistan $ 295k, and UK $ 285k Till Saturday. At the finish of Day 2, ‘Tamasha’ minted $ 2.8 mn [₹ 18.71 cr] in Overseas market as confirmed by Taran Adarsh.

After seeing the positive response that the film has generated we are expecting to go a long way over the box-office. It will soon enter Rs 100cr mark in its first week only.
